On August 15th, FUBAR PAC completed a large mural of the infamous bald baby JD Vance meme in Philadelphia as a repudiation of the Trump administration and our joke of a vice president.
Now that the mural is up, people are loving it. The reach of the mural has smashed our wildest expectations with over 4 million people seeing it online and in person.
The Inquirer posted an awesome recap about our mural and the attention it’s received. That’s in addition to coverage from PhillyVoice and PhillyMag!
Here's what Slate had to say: "Vance’s gaze pierced my soul; I could feel it trying to cull every ounce of humanity I had left. My staring contest left me shaken: I felt as though I had unlocked all the dark secrets to the world, at the cost of my hypothetical firstborn child. I also, for some inexplicable reason, felt as though I needed to go home and say sorry to my mother."
"We are a city of murals in Philadelphia. We’re also a city of haters. I wanted to add to that rich tapestry with some dumb bullshit."
Jack Inacker, Founder and Executive Director of FUBAR PAC

"Is it dumb to paint a mural of a JD Vance meme? Oh absolutely," said Jack Inacker, founder and executive director of FUBAR PAC. "But poking fun at MAGA and bringing attention to their terrible actions is what we do at FUBAR PAC.
"And while silly, we’ve been able to expose people to some of the actual, terrible harms that this administration is causing through the gutting of Medicaid at home and the destruction of USAID abroad. We highlighted both in our recent video here.
"We’ve been blown away by the overwhelming response to the mural so far. JD Vance gets a lot of hate. But it's not enough. We can do better.
"We also want to extend a huge thank you to Sulimay’s for allowing us to use their wall for the mural. Go to their restaurant and get some scrapple. It’s delicious."
For anyone interested in visiting the mural and checking out our beautiful work of art, the exact location of the mural is Sulimay’s Restaurant (632 E Girard Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125).

On October 3, FUBAR PAC unveiled a highly-anticipated addition to their viral ‘Bald Baby JD Vance’ mural in protest of the ongoing Republican government shutdown.
The wildly popular Fishtown mural now features a hand woven ‘Yarn Bomb’ propeller hat, courtesy of local fiber artist Nicole Nikolich.
The reimagined multi-media mural serves as a mockery of the Trump Administration’s bullshit attempt to blame Democrats for the government stoppage while they fight to steal healthcare from millions of Americans.
During the 3-hour event, FUBAR PAC hosted a livestream on TIKTOK featuring an interview with Fiber Artist Nicole Nikolich and commentary from Founder Jack Inacker. The livestream received more than 125K likes, nearly 7,000 unique viewers, and over 2,300 comments.

“Our ‘Bald Baby JD Vance’ mural has been a viral hit, but we knew our dimwitted boy needed something extra special to celebrate the latest steps he and Trump have taken to grind our government to a halt in the name of denying healthcare to millions and giving their billionaire donors more tax breaks,” said FUBAR PAC founder and executive director Jack Inacker.
“We were thrilled to be working with local Philadelphia fiber artist Nicole Nikolich [Lace in the Moon] to make Baby Vance a colorful yarn hat with a real spinning propeller. Nicole is a wildly talented artist who has done large scale fiber art all around Philly and we are honored she agreed to help with our dumb nonsense.”
“FUBAR PAC was also excited to partner with 18th Ward Democrats and RAD to register voters and verify registration status onsite so folks in Pennsylvania can be set to vote this November. Our stunts are ridiculous, but our goals are very real - we want people to come out, have a laugh, and then learn how they can create real change.”
